The purpose of this study is to determine the main training needs of the collegiate population, as well as the favorable conditions to guide Colypro’s professional development offer.
The continuous updating of the teaching team is a fundamental pillar to promote the improvement of educational quality. Therefore, unifying efforts with other entities and efficiently directing the resources allocated for this purpose is decisive for the scope of the proposals or guidelines that are generated. As well as channeling the contents, methodologies and modalities according to the requirements of the target population.
A mixed descriptive research is carried out, with a quantitative phase through the application of a questionnaire, followed by a qualitative phase in which a case study to be solved through teamwork was implemented. The population was made up of the “institutional representatives” of Colypro, who are collegiate teachers assigned to each educational center nationwide, to maintain two-way communication with the collegiate population.
The data analysis was carried out by coding and grouping the data, comparing, establishing correlations based on the frequency of appearance of each category and constructing tables, diagrams and graphs for their presentation.
Among the main findings it is determined that there is agreement, on the part of the participants, to enroll in training and updating activities; however, the investment of time necessary to complete the tasks or activities is decisive in retaining people until the training is completed.
Finally, among the most urgent contents to be addressed with the teaching population are pedagogical mediation, learning evaluation, appropriation of information technologies, educational legislation, inclusive education, management of behavioral difficulties, emotional education, educational administration and neuroscience of education.
