Abstract

Education is fundamental for social development, intertwining with culture to form collective identities. However, the digital divide exacerbates inequalities in access to educational resources, which requires actions to ensure inclusive and adaptive education that empowers all sectors of society. Investigating education as a key sociocultural pillar for adopting new technologies is essential to facilitate the transition to a digital future, foster professional skills, and promote inclusion. Additionally, this research addresses the relationship between education and technology, helping to build more resilient and equitable societies by integrating critical values and skills. This study is the result of a bibliographic review motivated by the author’s experience in the field of education. A descriptive theoretical study was therefore developed. Among the most important conclusions is that regular training in digital tools and online teaching methodologies is essential to empower teachers, improve educational quality, and facilitate the effective integration of digital education into the curriculum, which may lead to meaningful and adaptive learning. As a result of this research, a series of recommendations is presented which, if implemented, can strengthen the teaching and learning process.
