The main objective of this study is aimed at proposing the implementation of Project-based Learning (PBL) as a strategy evaluation process in three courses of English as a foreign language (EFL). In order to innovate the evaluation of these courses, it is expected to implement a collaborative project whose theme goes beyond the face-to-face or virtual classroom. A complete model of a pedagogical proposal based on PBL is included for a reading strategies course. The methodological approach is quantitative and presents the results of an instrument applied to a population of 54 EFL students enrolled in three virtual courses, whose evaluation could include an assessment strategy based on Project-based Learning. Among some of the results obtained, it is highlighted that many students already have previous experience with PBL and indicate that it is feasible to incorporate it into their English course as an evaluation strategy through a collaborative project.
